Second vigil

In an effort to make the best of scouting, and because it’s simply fun, I am going to do a second vigil.  Now, I haven’t passed along the journal from the first one I did, and having second thoughts about it, I am pondering another stab at it.  Not sure yet, but I think I’ll take a clue from Baden-Powell’s comments about Rover Quests and do another vigil about truth in art.  An upcoming visit to world-renowned outdoor spaces and museums might be a good start, followed up by a camp out.

drafting a service project

So I’m pondering the following for Rover service projects to work towards the service badge.

Outlander’s Scout Promise

This is the ‘oath’ I took.

On my honor, I promise that I will do my best

To render service to my country,

To help other people at all times,

And to obey the Scout Law.
